About Us

The Coaching Compass is an organization dedicated to helping businesses maximize the talent of their people through interactive training programs, experiential learning and executive coaching.  To ensure the effectiveness of our programs, we conduct an in-depth assessment to determine the primary needs of the organization as well as the focus of the leadership team.  Once the information gathering process is complete, The Coaching Compass prepares a detailed proposal of suggested strategies for enhanced teamwork and performance.

Anita Goldin is the creator of the Coaching Compass and serves as the lead facilitator, trainer and executive coach.  Anita brings to these roles a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas of organizational development and customer service. With over 15 years of experience as a Human Resources Director for Hyatt Hotels and three years as a regional HR Director for an international communications company, Anita understands the operational intricacies that face today’s management teams.   As an HR Director, she has had the opportunity to hone her Organizational Development skills around training, team development, coaching and group dynamics.   Moving into the roles of executive coach and business consultant has been a natural path as her experience and knowledge has grown.

Before embarking on a Human Resources career, Anita obtained her BS in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts.  Her first few years in the working world were spent working with animals, children and adults at animal and outdoor education facilities.  As a staff naturalist and community programs director, Anita created and led outdoor adventures ranging from owl prowls to river rafting.  These early experiences coupled with her training and development background in hotels, serve as the foundation of her experiential teambuilding programs.   Anita is able to create energizing outdoor programs which serve as a catalyst for organizational change as well as a working metaphor for topics such as communication, conflict, teamwork and trust.

Anita received her coach training and coaching certification through Coach University. She holds her ACC coaching credential through the International Coach Federation. She remains active in the Human Resources Community and currently holds her SPHR (Senior Human Resources Professional) designation since 2000.
